Product Line Manager (PLM) – Palo Alto, CA

Seize a unique opportunity to disrupt the networking industry. This position reports to the Senior Director of Product Line Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Pica8’s networking software.

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineering team to define the use cases and requirements for enterprise switches/routers
• Identify and address gaps in the product feature set
• Track enterprise network trends and create plans to address the relevant trends
• Review product status and define release criteria
• Work with network application partners for system integration
• Work with SE to create the best-practice of network design
• Work with TAC on field support issues

Requirements:

• In-depth practical and theoretical knowledge of enterprise networking, especially switching and routing
• Knowledge of core routing protocols, including NAC/802.1x, MLAG, OSPF, BGP, and EVPN
• Familiar with enterprise use cases and network design
• Familiar with development, qualification, release cycles, and product management tools.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience with of customer networking environments
• Track record working with multi-site engineering and QA teams
• Self-starter but enjoys working with a team

Education and Experience:

• BS / BA or equivalent
• Product experience with enterprise and data-center switches
• Proven track record of customer and partner relationships
• Experience running a product management process
• Hands-on network design experience a plus
• 3+ years in the networking industry
